If you already hold your Standard First Aid & CPR-C (SFA & CPR-C), but need to renew it, sign up for a SFA & CPR-C Recertification.
The Lifesaving Society's Standard First Aid & CPR-C (SFA & CPR-C) course is recognized as Intermediate First Aid under Manitoba's Workplace Safety and Health Regulations and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Standards. This certification one of the listed prerequisite first aid certification required to take the National Lifeguard course. Take this course to learn Adult, Child, Infant and Two-Rescuer techniques for CPR, and Obstructed Airways, as well as treatment for conditions such as bleeding & wounds, burns, broken bones, heart attack, stroke, heat & cold related emergencies, medical conditions, and spinal injuries. The course also includes use of a Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
All candidates must show proof of holding a Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification to the instructor at start of the course. Candidates who do not hold a SFA & CPR-C (they have never taken the course) must attend the full SFA & CPR-C course.
Course fee includes all required course supplies and candidate take-home manual. Please bring your own note-taking supplies (pen, notebook and/or paper).
All courses take place at Unit 100 - 383 Provencher Boulevard, Winnipeg, MB.
